Savannah Speech and Hearing Center Receives Generous Grant From Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah Speech and Hearing Center has been awarded a grant from Gulfstream to support our rehabilitation therapy program, which includes speech therapy for all ages as well as pediatric occupational and physical therapies, each designed to help fulfill our mission to provide services that empower and transform lives.
The Savannah Speech and Hearing Center (SSHC) is a service award-winning, non-profit agency and the only one of its kind in this part of the state to provide services through a sliding fee scale and scholarships offered to individuals or families who need financial assistance.
ABOUT SAVANNAH SPEECH AND HEARING:
Since 1954, Savannah Speech and Hearing has been committed to providing comprehensive speech, hearing, language and other therapeutic services that empower and transform the lives of both children and adults, regardless of financial abilities. SSHC offers a wide range of programs including Sound Start, our early intervention auditory/verbal program for children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, as well as audiology, speech, pediatric occupational and physical therapies, hearing aids, cochlear implants, informational resources, a stroke and traumatic brain injury survivors’ support group and other specialized programs. SSHC speech-language pathologists and audiologists are certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA); occupational therapists are certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA); and physical therapists by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
