Grand Opening of the Savannah Jazz History and Hall of Fame Exhibit

After three years of fundraising and planning, Savannah Jazz has set the grand opening date for its Savannah Jazz History and Hall of Fame Exhibit for September 17 in the Savannah History Museum. Raising over $140,000 for the project not including in-kind donations the organization is bringing Savannah’s rich jazz history to life. Tickets are $30 and the event will feature the Savannah Jazz Hall of Fame Band, a ribbon cutting, a tour, and a reception.

M.E. Sack Engineering Hires Austin Beasley as Survey Crew Chief

M.E. Sack Engineering, a full-service Georgia engineering firm, recently added Austin Beasley to the team as Survey Crew Chief. In this role, he will help determine property boundaries through precise measurements; collecting field data for various types of surveys including topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, wetland and tree locations and construction layout. He will also serve as a supervisor to the M.E. Sack Engineering surveying team.

Elevate Savannah Expands Program to DeRenne Middle School

Elevate Savannah, a local non-profit organization focused on building long-term life-changing relationships with urban youth, is excited to announce expansion to DeRenne Middle School. Launched in the Fall of 2019 at A.E. Beach High School, this rapidly growing student mentor program will begin the 2022 school year with representation in all levels of the Savannah-Chatham County Schools. Due to the program’s success, they have expanded their team and their reach, to launch their first classroom at DeRenne Middle School starting this Fall.
