Elevate Savannah’s “Elevacation” program for current Elevate students kicked off earlier this month. Already, the kids have experienced some incredible adventures!

Over the last week, students have gone out on the water to see dolphins, catch some crabs, and learn about the various waterways and how they impact the local economy. They have toured the Journalism and Mass Communication Department at Savannah State University, and were given the opportunity to host a mock TV show. Students have braved the heat, strolling down River Street seeing local businesses and cooling off with some ice cream. Finally, in celebration of the upcoming Juneteenth holiday, they have begun touring black owned businesses in the community.
