SAVANNAH, Ga. – Ahead of the 2023 academic year, Elevate Savannah, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering local communities and fostering educational excellence, is excited to announce the well-deserved promotion of Kendall Walker to Program Director.
Walker’s journey with Elevate Savannah began as one of the original Teacher-Mentors in 2019. After just two years of being a passionate and dedicated Teacher-Mentor he was promoted to Site Coordinator in 2021. He has spent the last two years providing unwavering support to Elevate staff and community collaborators in this role. During his tenure, Kendall has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, a deep commitment to the organization’s mission, and a genuine connection with the students and their families.
Walker graduated with a bachelors in Business Administration and Marketing from Savannah State University in 2017. While in college, he served as Student Government Association President for two years, and was an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Delta Eta chapter where he participated in mentoring students at local high schools, including A.E. Beach High School.
As Program Director, Kendall will play a pivotal role in steering the organization’s strategic initiatives, overseeing program development and expansion, and further solidifying Elevate Savannah’s position as a catalyst for positive change in the community. His keen understanding of the local challenges and opportunities, coupled with his innovative ideas, make Walker the perfect candidate for this role.
“Our Elevate Savannah students inspire me daily to never give up, and remind me that everybody has their own personal challenges, regardless of what the outside looks like,” says Walker.
Elevate Savannah congratulates Kendall Walker on his well-earned promotion and looks forward to an even brighter future under his capable guidance. To support Elevate Savannah and their mission, please consider donating to their program. For more information, visit www.elevatesavannah.org.
