SAVANNAH, GA – Rising above Savannah’s historic riverfront, Waving Girl Rooftop—an elevated food-and-beverage destination at Tempo by Hilton Savannah Historic District—will debut this spring with sweeping city views, craft cocktails, and locally inspired small plates.
Inspired by Florence Martus, the legendary “Waving Girl” who greeted passing ships along the Savannah River with a lantern for decades, Waving Girl Rooftop pays tribute to her enduring spirit of hospitality, wonder, and connection.
Guests can expect a thoughtfully curated menu rooted in regional flavors, featuring shareable dishes such as BBQ pork belly sliders, Vidalia onion fritters with smoked tomato aioli, and seasonal burrata selections alongside signature cocktails including Oglethorpe Heights, Savannah Drift, and Peachy Keen.
Coinciding with the announcement, Tempo by Hilton Savannah Historic District has welcomed Allison Hoskins as its new Food & Beverage Manager. In this role, Hoskins will oversee Waving Girl Rooftop, the hotel’s café Bluestone Lane, and all on-site catering operations, with responsibility for menu development, service standards, event programming, and overall concept execution.
Hoskins brings more than a decade of hospitality leadership experience, with a background that includes opening new concepts, leading large teams, and overseeing front-and back-of-house operations in high-volume, destination-driven environments.
“Allison’s depth of experience and passion for hospitality make her the perfect fit as we prepare to launch Waving Girl Rooftop,” said Bryan Hale, General Manager of Tempo by Hilton Savannah Historic District. “Her leadership will be instrumental in delivering a food and beverage program that reflects Savannah’s character while providing an exceptional guest experience.”
Waving Girl Rooftop will operate afternoons through late evening, seven days a week. Additional opening details and previews will be shared in the months ahead.
