Savannah, Ga. – In a heartfelt salute to the educators shaping the next generation, Vaden Automotive rolled out a weeklong celebration for Teacher Appreciation Week across several communities they serve, bringing meals, meaningful conversations, and well-deserved perks to local schools.
Jane Vaden Thacher, alongside Vaden’s leadership team, hit the road to personally thank educators for their dedication, while listening and learning how the company can better support schools in the months to come-especially as many communities experience rapid growth and increasing classroom needs.
The celebration began on Tuesday, May 6, at Pooler Elementary School, where Vaden hosted a teacher luncheon to express appreciation and gather insights directly from educators about how the dealership can make a difference in their classrooms. Teachers were also surprised with cards for complimentary oil changes-just one small way to lighten their load.
The teacher appreciation week tour continued on Thursday, May 8, with a celebratory luncheon at Southeast Bulloch High School. There, Vaden leaders connected one-on-one with teachers, sharing meals and listening to the evolving needs of a growing school population.
On Friday, May 9, Vaden hosted an after-school thank-you reception at Islands High School, complete with cake and sparkling juice, to cap off the week of festivities. The highlight of the event was the raffle of a $500 Visa gift card donated by Vaden, awarded to one outstanding educator as a surprise gift-further recognizing the tremendous impact teachers make each day. All attending teachers also received complimentary oil change cards as a token of appreciation.
That same day, Vaden wrapped up the week on a sweet note at Herman W. Hesse K-8 School with food trucks for teachers and an ice cream truck for students. The all-day appreciation event turned into a joyful community celebration. Teachers also received free oil change cards as a small gesture of thanks.
And the celebration isn’t over yet. On Monday, May 20, Vaden will continue the festivities at Savannah Christian Preparatory School‘s Upper Campus, where teachers and staff will be treated to lunch. As a thoughtful token of appreciation, attendees will receive Vaden-branded swag and complimentary oil change cards- extending the spirit of gratitude well beyond Teacher Appreciation Week.
“Supporting educators is one of the most meaningful investments we can make in our communities,” said Jane Vaden Thacher. “This effort was about more than just celebration-it was about building lasting relationships and finding ways to be of service to the schools that shape our future.”
This initiative is just one part of The Vaden Way, a company-wide commitment to driving positive change across coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry through youth development, education, and community giving.
