Savannah, GA – Senior Citizens Inc. (SCI), a nonprofit dedicated to helping older adults age successfully, has received a $5,000 grant from Georgia Power to support its Meals on Wheels program.
This funding will help ensure that homebound older adults in coastal Georgia receive nutritious meals, regular wellness checks, and much-needed companionship.
“With the growing demand for Meals on Wheels, we rely on generous partners like Georgia Power to help us continue delivering more than 1,800 meals daily to older adults who might otherwise go without,” said Patti Lyons, President of Senior Citizens Inc. “Their support strengthens our mission and makes a tangible difference in the lives of older adults in our community who depend on us for both nourishment and human connection.” “We are deeply grateful for Georgia Power’s generosity,” Lyons added. “Their contribution allows us to sustain and expand our services to reach even more older adults in need.”
