Senior Citizens Inc. Collecting Blankets for Seniors
Senior Citizens, Inc. (SCI), a local non-profit dedicated to helping people age successfully kicked off their 14thannual blanket drive at Starbucks on 135 W. Bay Street on Tuesday, January 9. SCI is collecting new blankets to help seniors, without adequate heating, keep warm this winter. Starbucks is offering anyone donating a new blanket through the end of January at one of their stores, a free tall hand-crafted Blond Expresso drink of their choice or any size regular fresh-brewed coffee. New blankets may also be dropped off SCI headquarters on Bull Street, WSAV-TV, and at designated locations throughout The Landings until February 16. Cash donations to help purchase blankets are welcomed and may be made on-line at www.seniorcitizensinc.org or mailed to SCI at 3025 Bull Street, Savannah, GA 31405. Low-income seniors, 65 or older, in need of an extra blanket may pick one up at SCI from 8:30am
to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Identification and proof of income are required.
