SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah Speech and Hearing Center (SSHC) has been awarded a $4,000 grant from Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. to help children reach their greatest potential for functional independence through pediatric occupational and physical therapies.
The impact of pediatric occupational and physical therapies can be summed up in one profound word: empowerment. The range of benefits for the children treated are both varied and numerous, enabling development of the skills needed for participation in everyday life, independence, improved socialization and focus – the skills needed for a strong foundation and positive growth. Our team of highly experienced and accomplished occupational therapy and physical therapy clinicians specializes in pediatrics and early intervention. SSHC is the only nonprofit agency in this part of the state to provide services for children who need help with motor and sensory skills, offering scholarships and a sliding fee scale to families who need financial assistance.
