Savannah Philharmonic Presents “Guitar Fest” To Kick Off 2025

SAVANNAH, GA – The Savannah Philharmonic is excited to announce its upcoming concert “Guitar Fest,” scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 7:30 pm in the iconic Lucas Theatre for the Arts.

“Guitar Fest” will come alive on stage with special guest artists Daniel Bolshoy

and Savannah’s own Benedetto Guitars President/CEO Howard Paul, along with the amazing musicians of the Savannah Philharmonic orchestra.

Bolshoy is an Associate Professor of Guitar at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia. He has performed with over sixty orchestras internationally and as a solo recitalist throughout the world. As an avid chamber musician, he has performed at music festivals and concert series throughout North America, Europe, Russia, Asia and the Middle East. Bolshoy appears on eight commercial recordings and documentary films on Bravo! TV network. His commercial and live performances are often broadcast on CBS Radio, NPR, and various classical music stations.

Paul is an acclaimed jazz guitarist and President/CEO of Savannah’s own Benedetto Guitars. He has played guitar since age 4, and exclusively jazz from age 10. Paul has performed with many jazz musicians internationally and has lectured on guitar history and architecture. He is a 2011 Savannah Jazz Hall of Fame inductee, past president of Savannah Jazz and a member of the Savannah Jazz Orchestra. His records include Jammin’ at the Jazz Corner (Ali Ryerson), Just Friends (Bob James), New Adventures (Tony Monaco), The Presidents (Jody Espina) and Honoring Pat Martino (Highnote).
