SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah Philharmonic, a community-focused arts organization which strives to present concert performances and music education of the highest caliber throughout the southeast, is pleased to announce Christopher Cay and Sarah Woodfield have joined the Board of Directors.
Christopher Cay is a Principal with Cay Insurance Company, which he established in 2007. His Savannah based firm focuses on individual and commercial insurance. A native Savannahian, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his MBA from Georgia State University. Christopher has served on several nonprofit boards including the Savannah Music Festival, Savannah Community Foundation, Historic Savannah Foundation, Savannah Country Day School and Union Mission. He is currently board chair for the Sarah Mills Hodge Foundation, Savannah Benevolent Association and the Board of Visitors for the Libraries of the University of Georgia.
Sarah Woodfield relocated to Savannah after a 33-year career as an architect in Northern California. She grew up in Chicago, where she was exposed to many genres of music and started piano lessons at the age of nine. Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University and a Master of Architecture from the University of Los Angeles. She has been very involved in the communities she has lived in including serving as President of the American Institute of Architects in Santa Rosa, California, a Board Member and Strategic Planning Chair for the Santa Rosa Symphony, and a Member of the Downtown Action Committee for the City of Santa Rosa. Since moving to Savannah, Sarah has joined the Historic Design Board of Review and has become very active in Christ Church.
