Rite Aid Donates $5,000 to Savannah Speech and Hearing Center through KidCents Holiday Wishes Program
SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah Speech and Hearing Center, Savannah’s only nonprofit dedicated to speech pathology and audiology needs, recently accepted a $5,000 gift as a part of the total $2.2 million donated to local charities throughout the country within The Rite Aid Foundation KidCents network.
“Programs like KidCents make a big difference for nonprofits serving a community like ours. Their support will allow us to continue to provide our children and adult support groups with specialized care,” said Anne K. Smith, president of the Savannah Speech and Hearing Center board of directors. “Being one of the 440 charities within The Rite Aid Foundation is a blessing, and we thank the Savannah community for helping our kids be able to hear and speak.”
The donation comes from The Rite Aid Foundation KidCents Holiday Wishes Program which was created to recognize partner charities for their year-round commitment to helping others. Savannah Speech and Hearing Center will use the grant to improve the health, safety, and well-being of affected children in the community. As a local Rite Aid KidCents charity, the organization benefits from the Rite Aid wellness+ with Plenti program. When Rite Aid customers sign into KidCents.RiteAid.com and select their local charity, their next purchase will be rounded up to the nearest dollar and the change is donated to their charity of choice.
“The Rite Aid Foundation wanted to give our KidCents charities a special gift this holiday season, in recognition of all they do to give the children they serve a chance for better lives and brighter futures,” said Tracy Henderson, director of The Rite Aid Foundation and charitable giving initiatives.
