Richmond Hill Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Named Head of the Georgia Coast Travel Association
The Richmond Hill Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) recently announced that its executive director, Christy Sherman, was appointed president of the Georgia Coast Travel Association. In that role, she will represent the 11 coastal counties of Georgia in marketing and public relations efforts.
Sherman, who recently received her designation as a Tourism Marketing Professional (TMP), served on the board of directors and worked in guest services at Fort McAllister State Historic Park prior to joining the Richmond Hill CVB.
The Georgia Coast Travel Association is one of the nine travel regions classified by the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD). Each Regional Travel Association works to promote the regions they represent to increase visitor volumes through sharing best practices, learning about trends, and establishing new tourism product by networking together.
