Supply Chain Expert to Teach Negotiation Skills at First Learners & Leaders Series of 2018

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Georgia Tech-Savannah’s first Learners & Leaders session of 2018, “Three Key Principles of Influence: Driving Business Deals and Effective Negotiations,” will be led by G’Sean Williams, executive director of supply chain and supplier performance for SMS Advisors. The course will take place on Thursday, February 8, from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. Attendees will learn negotiation skills and planning, people conditioning, trading value for value, contract terminology, and their Personal Negotiation Stylesm.

“We organized this session with G’Sean to jumpstart or supplement professionals’ plans to execute for 2018,” said Diane Lee, director of Georgia Tech-Savannah. “His experience working with Fortune 500 companies made him an ideal speaker for our diverse group of participants.”

Williams holds several certifications in supply management and was SCOR-P trained for corporate project management. He held manager and director level positions in corporations including Intel, MeadWestvaco, and Bristol Myers Squibb. Leading cross-functional teams, he has executed more than 50 multi-million dollar deals globally securing more than $1 billion in supplier contracts.

The talk, which will include remarks followed by an interactive discussion, will take place at the Georgia Tech Savannah campus at 210 Technology Circle. Breakfast and networking will begin at 7:30 a.m.; the program will run 8-9:30 a.m. Cost, including breakfast, is $15. Small business owners, suppliers, sales executives, procurement & supply professionals, community leaders, and every day negotiators are encouraged to attend.

Georgia Tech-Savannah’s Learners and Leaders series is an effort launched in 2014 to help companies in the coastal region stay current. To date, members of the coastal community have heard speakers on topics of relevance to the business community, including mobile apps, coaching and mentoring, leadership and logistics.
