The Meals on Wheels program has been making an impact on older people’s lives for 50 years now, and is continuing to grow.

On March 21st, Mayor Van Johnson helped to celebrate “March for Meals” by delivering Meals on Wheels for a day. “March for Meals” commemorates the 50th anniversary of providing seniors in the community with nutritious meals.

“We have to ensure that our seniors, our beloved foremothers and fathers who have helped make our community what it is, are able to have nutritious meals,” said Mayor Van Johnson of the city of Savannah.
