SAVANNAH, Ga. – Community members, supporters, and local leaders gathered at Leopold’s Ice Cream on Broughton Street Tuesday morning as EmployAbility kicked off the celebration of its 75th anniversary with the launch of a special limited time flavor, “EmployAbility Crunch.”

Created in partnership with Leopold’s Ice Cream, EmployAbility Crunch is inspired by the famous Savannah Socialite flavor and features a vanilla ice cream base with roasted Georgia pecans and swirls of homemade bourbon infused caramel. The flavor was met with excitement from attendees during the official taste test, with many guests immediately lining up for additional scoops following the ribbon cutting ceremony.

“Leopold’s has always been about community, and this partnership with EmployAbility means so much to all of us,” said Stratton Leopold, owner and operator of Leopold’s Ice Cream. “EmployAbility changes lives every single day, and we are honored to celebrate their 75th anniversary with a flavor that brings people together in such a joyful way.”

The celebration included a ribbon cutting ceremony, remarks from the organization’s leaders, and the official first taste of the anniversary flavor as attendees gathered to recognize EmployAbility’s decades of impact across the Coastal Georgia region.

“For 75 years, EmployAbility has focused on creating opportunities, independence, and inclusion for the individuals we serve,” said Brendan Ferrara, CEO of EmployAbility. “To celebrate this milestone with a community institution like Leopold’s, who has long supported our mission and employed our participants, makes this moment incredibly meaningful for our organization.”

Beginning today, EmployAbility Crunch will be available for purchase at Leopold’s Broughton Street and Whitemarsh Island locations for a limited time.

Leopold’s has long been a dedicated supporter of EmployAbility and proudly employs EmployAbility participants, making the partnership a natural fit and a reflection of EmployAbility’s mission in action.
