2024 is a big year for those who celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the city of Savannah, as it marks the bicentennial of the annual Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

As the city of Savannah gears up for the monumental event, residents and businesses alike are bubbling with excitement and anticipation. This annual celebration, deeply rooted in Savannah’s Irish heritage, has become a cherished tradition for the city, drawing locals and visitors alike to revel in the vibrant festivities.

The 200th St. Patrick’s Day Parade promises to be a visual feast, with organizers planning special additions to mark this historic occasion. Floats representing different eras of Savannah’s history, performances by renowned Irish dance troupes, and a dazzling display of fireworks are just some of the highlights that residents and visitors can look forward to. Approximately 280 units – bands, families, societies, soldiers, public servants, and commercial floats – plan to wind through the streets of Historic Downtown Savannah, helping to make the Savannah parade one of the largest and most recognized parades in the world!
