MACON, GA — Central Georgia Cancer Care, the only oncology practice in the state with both QOPI® and ASCO accolades, welcomes two new advanced practitioners to their care team. Nurse Practitioners Pamela Lamberth, NP-C and Cassie Bugay, MSN, FNP-C recently joined the growing team covering the Macon and Warner Robins clinic to continue the practice’s focus on passion for innovation and compassion for care. They will both be responsible for managing the care of patients and serving as an advocate for her patients’ needs.
Originally from Perry, Georgia, Pamela Lamberth obtained both her BSN and MSN from Georgia College. She also received her ASN from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) and AS Respiratory Therapy from Middle Georgia State University. She most recently worked as a RN Case Manager in Macon, where she coordinated the care and service of complex medical patients to promote collaborative practice and continuity of care. Prior to this she served in the United States Army as an Ammunition Specialist before an honorable discharge. When asked why she loves what she does, Pamela said, “I love that I get to positively impact, support, and encourage patients as they walk through their cancer journey just as someone did for me as I walked through mine. I get to give back and that makes me happy.”
Cassie Bugay graduated from the Wesleyan College Nursing School in 2017. She went on to obtain both her Master’s of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and her Registered Nurse First Assist Certification from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has spent most of her nursing career in orthopedics and surgery, most recently in Perry Outpatient Surgery at Houston Medical Center. She also served in the United States Air Force as a Surveillance Radar Technician on JSTARS aircraft. When asked why she loves what she does, Cassie said, “I love what I do because every day offers a fresh reminder of the profound impact I can make in the lives of my patients. It’s in the grateful smiles of those I have helped, the challenges that push me to grow, and the personal connections that enrich my spirit.”
CGCC is excited to welcome both Pamela and Cassie to the care team as nurse practitioners. For more information, visit www.centralgacancercare.com.
