Ashley-H-Vinson

MACON, GA — Central Georgia Cancer Care, a partner practice of American Oncology Network (AON) (Nasdaq: AONC) and the only oncology practice in the state with both QOPI® and ASCO accolades, is excited to announce the return of Ashley H. Vinson, FNP-C as Family Nurse Practitioner. In this role, she is responsible for managing the care of patients and serving as an advocate for her patients’ needs.

Originally from Savannah, Ashley graduated from Armstrong State University with her Bachelors in Nursing in 2011. After graduating, she took her first nursing job as an inpatient oncology nurse in Valdosta at South Georgia Medical Center and then later moved back to Savannah where she worked at St. Joseph’s/Candler. She went on to receive her Masters of Science in Nursing from Georgia Southern University in 2018, and then took her first Nurse Practitioner job with us at Central Georgia Cancer Care in 2018. She briefly moved to Augusta in 2023 and worked at the Oncology Multispecialty Clinic, but made her way back to Middle Georgia and says she is incredibly happy to be back at CGCC.

“I knew I had a passion for oncology early on, while taking care of my grandmother who had ovarian cancer,” says Ashley. “She was such a light in my life. She passed away after a 10-year battle, but her memory continues to live on. I love oncology: the complexity, the continued research, the lives we get to impact on a daily basis. I love my patients and I feel that it shows in my everyday work.”

Ashley has been married for five years, and together they have twin boys. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and being outdoors in her freetime. CGCC is so excited to welcome her back to the family. For more information, visit www.centralgacancercare.com.
