MACON, GA — Central Georgia Cancer Care, the only oncology practice in the state with both QOPI® and ASCO accolades, announces non-oncology infusion therapy. In addition to treating cancer, now CGCC Open Infusion Centers will also benefit patients with a wide variety of other medical conditions.

“We take pride in providing high-quality, compassionate and award-winning care to middle Georgia and beyond, and will use these best practices to now serve non-oncology patients,” says CGCC CEO Kevin J. Svoboda. “We saw a need for more cost effective and higher quality infusion therapy throughout our community. In an effort to fill this void, our practice decided to broaden our offerings and allow our experienced infusion nurses and board certified physicians to serve other patients in the region. Our care team does all they can to make your experience as comfortable, safe and effective as possible during your infusion therapy.”

Infusion therapy is a way of delivering medication and nutrition directly into the veins. It is commonly used for medication that can’t be taken orally, or that needs to be dispensed at a controlled pace. Since 1977, CGCC has provided hundreds of thousands of patients with infusion therapy, and as an independent infusion center they offer high-quality infusions at a much lower cost to patients. In addition to a lower cost, CGCC also has state-of-the-art pharmacies and lab services on site at both of their Macon and Warner Robins locations.

Non-oncology infusion therapy is now available at Central Georgia Cancer Care; patients and physicians can call the practice directly, at (478) 743-7068, to learn more or visit www.centralgacancercare.com.
