Bunny Ware Receives Community Advocacy Award from Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire

Savannah, GA – The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire recently recognized Bunny Ware, the face of Bunny in the City, with its 2025 Community Advocacy Award for her tireless efforts to uplift the citizens of Savannah.

“If you know Savannah, you know Bunny Ware,” said Mediation Center Executive Director Jill Cardenas. “She is the heart of our community – a true connector. No matter the challenge, Bunny always says yes when it comes to lifting others up. For years, she has championed The Mediation Center’s mission and so many others, bringing people together, amplifying voices, and making Savannah stronger. She doesn’t just build bridges – she is the bridge.”

Ware received the award at the recent Anchored in the Community fundraiser for the Mediation Center held at Savannah Tech’s Eckburg Auditorium. Funds raised at the annual fundraiser support The Mediation Center’s youth programs, conflict resolution training opportunities, professional services and the Family Law Resource Center. The Mediation Center provides strategic alternatives to litigation and increases access to justice throughout coastal Georgia.

“My first experience with the Mediation Center was over a decade ago when I wrote about their annual awards banquet,” Ware said. “Learning how 9-year-old students handle conflict and develop conversation skills made an impact on me. From their annual Peace in the Park to their work with the court and school system, this powerful community resource is an organization that I am proud to be acknowledged by. I’m also a big fan of their Executive Director, Jill Cardenas!”

Ware has now received two awards for her advocacy. Earlier this year the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce gave Ware and her company, “Bunny in the City,” the 2025 Small Business Advocate Award for her deep commitment to the community and tireless efforts as a small business champion.
