ALBANY, GA – Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission (ADEDC) recently announced the addition of Marvin C. Oliver Jr. as their new Director of Business Relations. In this role, he will engage directly with businesses in Albany and Dougherty County, as well as with EDC investors, to facilitate access to local, regional, state and federal resources which support their growth objectives. He will also collaborate with a network of economic development professionals across various levels to help companies realize their expansion strategies and potential.

Marvin, an Albany native, joins ADEDC after 10 years with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where he had the opportunity to support the community during some of their most challenging times. Most recently, Marvin served as Commercial Relationship Manager at AB&T in Albany. While there, he was primarily responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with business clients to understand their financial needs and goals. ADEDC is excited for Marvin to join their team, bringing great energy for growth, community engagement expertise, market knowledge and his love of Albany to the organization. In his free time, he serves as a proud Albany Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and volunteers with many of the associated community initiatives.
