Albany, GA – The Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission (ADEDC) is proud to celebrate AMADAS Industries as a participant in the Georgia Made program, which recognizes the high-quality products manufactured across our state. The Georgia Made designation reflects excellence and state pride, ensuring that products bearing the label represent top-tier craftsmanship recognized both locally and globally.

At its Albany plant, AMADAS manufactures a range of essential agricultural equipment, right here in Georgia, including:

  • Peanut Diggers
  • Peanut Combine Components
    • Baskets
    • Headers
  • Service Parts

AMADAS Industries plays a key role in Georgia’s peanut industry. Their Peanut Digger/Inverters lift entire rows of peanuts from beneath the soil, inverting them to dry in preparation for harvesting. Once dry, AMADAS Peanut Combines are used to efficiently gather and process peanuts, separating them from vines and plants.

The company’s Pull-Type and Self-Propelled Peanut Combines incorporate both Headers and Baskets, crucial components in the harvesting process. Headers carefully lift the peanut plants, feeding them into the combine, while Baskets collect the processed peanuts for further handling.

Jim Welch, Vice President of Operations at AMADAS Industries, expressed his excitement: “We are proud to be part of the Georgia Made program, which not only recognizes the quality of our products but also highlights the hard work of our employees here in Albany. AMADAS is committed to providing innovative, reliable solutions for the peanut industry, and this recognition reinforces the pride we take in building these machines right here in Georgia.”

Jana W. Dyke, President & CEO of ADEDC, added: “AMADAS Industries exemplifies what it means to be Georgia Made. Their presence in Albany and dedication to producing world-class agricultural equipment reflects the strength of our local workforce and manufacturing industry. We’re thrilled to see AMADAS continue to innovate and lead in their field, and we are proud to support them through this program.”

As a Georgia Made company, AMADAS Industries is a vital part of Georgia’s agricultural innovation, delivering quality equipment that supports peanut farmers across the region.
