Mitch Shores was sworn in this morning as Richmond Hill’s new chief of police. He will replace Billy Reynolds, who served as chief of police for the last 31 years and was recently elected Bryan County probate judge.

Book signings for Savannah Square by Square, a visually stunning coffee table book published by Historic Savannah Foundation, will be held at the Marshall House at 123 E. Broughton Street, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on December 8. Proceeds will benefit HSF’s Davenport House Museum.

Responding to local industry and workforce needs, Georgia Tech-Savannah announced it will be launching a coding boot camp in Savannah for the first time. The 24-week program, which will begin in January 2017, will give participants the skills they need to create front and back-end web applications, a highly sought-after skillset.

The city of Richmond Hill, Ga. is pleased to announce its participation in the Georgia Municipal Association’s (GMA’s) 2016 Mayors’ Christmas Motorcade, a program that provides holiday gifts for Georgia hospital patients with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs.
