Richmond Hill, Ga. –  The Richmond Hill Convention & Visitors Bureau is seeking historic photographs of buildings associated with the Henry Ford era of Richmond Hill, specifically photos of the Ford-era bakery located at 10750 Ford Avenue, most recently known as Kicks Electronics. Interior and exterior views, as well as recollections of the building's use as a bakery are sought.

City of Richmond Hill officials announced tonight that the city has been designated a WaterFirst Community by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. The WaterFirst Community Program is a voluntary partnership that recognizes communities with a strong commitment to water resource stewardship.

Georgia Tech-Savannah recently announced it has hired Theresa Atkins to serve as director of industry partnerships - supply chain & logistics. In that role, she will identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that leverage Georgia Tech resources to build solutions that meet the logistics industry’s learning needs and business objectives. 

Area employers interested in sending employees to Georgia Tech-Savannah’s coding boot camp -- a 24-week program that will give participants the skills needed to create front and back-end web applications -- are eligible to receive as much as a 90 percent tuition reimbursement via scholarship grants provided by the Coastal Workforce Investment Board (CWIB).

City of Richmond Hill officials announced the city will be holding a variety of events to celebrate “Georgia Cities Week” April 23-29. The theme of this year’s Georgia Cities Week is “Georgia Cities: In the Mix,” highlighting cities’ important role in creating community gathering spaces and driving economic development.

This is the 18th year Georgia Cities Week has been celebrated in the state and the 17th year the City of Richmond Hill has participated.
