Kara Ford

As the Vice President of Accounts at Abshire Public Relations, Kara Ford manages a wide range of multimedia communication needs for clients across a variety of industries. From creative conception to execution, she is highly experienced in a diverse range of copywriting needs; market research; community and media relations; business development and strategy; website management and social media. She also assist clients with strategic media event planning and execution and on-site facilitation for media interviews and presentations.

Kara has successfully overseen the effective use and integration of social media for APR and select clients – in addition to the management and growth of our overall digital presence. Through consistent and quality engagement on social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest, she has helped APR build a reputation as a credible, go-to regional public relations resource across a variety of digital platforms.

A Savannah native, Kara is a member of Junior Achievement of Coastal Georgia’s board of directors, a member of Savannah Community Foundation’s Emerging Leaders Committee and Historic Savannah Foundation’s 13th Colony. Ford is a St. Vincent’s Academy alumni and graduated from Armstrong State University with a B.A. in English Communications, where she also served as a staff writer for the college newspaper, The Inkwell. While completing her degree, she worked full-time as an intern at Abshire Public Relations developing her skills as a published writer and communications expert.
